General
  • Coname in red
  • Refer to an individual the same way throughout a document — either by title or role.  (If you call someone a Research Salesperson once, call him/her a Research Salesperson throughout, not just a Salesperson.)
  • If you choose to abbreviate a title, use the full title the first time that the person is mentioned, with the abbreviation following in parentheses.  Then, use the abbreviation throughout.
  • Ex:  The Market Leader and Relationship Manager (RM) are continuing their coaching session.  The Market Leader and RM are about to debrief a meeting with a prospective client.  The client had an identified, immediate need for an investment.
  • Be consistent with Customer, Client, roles (Relationship Manager, Salesperson, etc.), etc.
  • Use consistent abbreviations of terms:  e.g., $10 million and $8 million, but not $10 million and $8,000,000.  Round off.  $2.5 million, never 2.5 million dollars.
  • Use “vs.” not “versus”

Spacing

  • Two spaces after periods
  • Space before and after ellipses
  • Space before and after em dash
  • No space before or after forward slash (/)
  • Two spaces after colons and one space after semicolons
