How do I bulk update?
Bulk updates can be accomplished by highlighting the designated column such as Task Status or your Done check box field and leveraging Control + D (windows) or Command + D (mac).

How do I copy a row from my client template to my master task log?

What if I accidentally mark something complete and need to revive it from my archive sheet?
You can go directly into your archive sheet and change the status to anything but “completed” and it will move it back to your main sheet when triggered.

How do I reassign a task to another CEC who may be assisting me?
Right-click on the row of the task you wish to reassign, select “Move to Another Sheet” and move to the Task Sheet of your colleague.  The alternative to do in bulk is to create a workflow automation to assign changing the CEC from your name to another CEC to move the row.

What resources are there to learn more about dashboards, reports, automation, and formulas?
See the supplemental slides in CEC Task Overview and Resource Guide deck for some shortcuts.  This job aid shows you how to access the help center.

How do I recover a deletion?
If you accidentally delete a sheet, report, or dashboard, you can recover the file in your “Deleted” files in your control center (at the bottom).

What happens to my task status and dates if I need to refresh my project data due to a change?

Options:

  1. Manually update the task due dates.
  2. Bulk-delete the tasks by selecting the first row to delete, then pressing Shift and selecting the last row to delete. With the rows highlighted, right-click and select delete. Return to the project and create new tasks based on the updated project data.
  3. Within a cell, you can CTRL+Z to recover the last field you deleted.  You can right-click and “View Cell History” to see the original cell value and history of changes as needed.

Which fields should I expect to update in Smartsheet after editing a Project in NetSuite?
The following columns will update in Smartsheet when they are changed in NetSuite. Please note this may take a few minutes to reflect in your Task list.

  • Project Number and Name
  • Project Start Date
  • Project End Date
  • Project Status
  • Core Content Name
  • Material Status
  • Session Language
  • CEC
  • CPM
  • CSA

How long will "Completed" tasks show on your Dashboard?
Completed tasks will show on your dashboard until refreshed, which can be done manually at any time. We suggest you also update your Dashboard Auto-Refresh to once every minute by going to View > Auto-Refresh.

What if a Project gets moved to Unscheduled after tasks are generated?
Your project data will refresh, but your task due dates will remain. You can delete the current tasks to clear your dashboard (or create a workflow to move to the archive). Once your session is rescheduled, you can regenerate new tasks with new due dates.

Which fields should I edit or not edit when generating a task using the Smartsheet Add-in for Outlook?

Only task-level fields should be edited when creating a task via Outlook. Since project-level fields are updated automatically from NetSuite, you will receive an error if you populate the Project Start Date for example. For additional information, please see Create a task in Smartsheet from Outlook.
