To prevent technical issues, make sure that you are always leveraging the most recent version of Zoom software on your device. Example of avoidable technical issues, related to software upgrade include prevention of dropping out when leveraging Breakout rooms. You should be using 5.2.0.  Windows users will receive a pop up message asking for you to “Allow Access.” Check the Box to include PRIVATE NETWORKS before you select “Allow Access”

Update your Zoom Software – PC

Locate the Zoom icon on your toolbar and open it. This is located at the bottom right of your menu bar, appearing as an upwards facing arrow. Click on the upwards facing arrow and locate the Zoom icon. By right clicking on the Zoom icon you will receive options. Click on the one that says “Check for Updates”

Update your Zoom Software – Mac

Locate the Zoom icon on your toolbar and open it. This is typically located at the top left of your menu bar. Click on Zoom.us to receive dropdown menu options. Click on the one that says “Check for Updates”
