Muting Capabilities
ØParticipants typically will join the meeting unmuted
ØException: when the audience is larger than 30 participants or the event is a webinar.
ØBest Practice: Allow the participants to control their mute buttons during the entire virtual event, this will encourage participation
ØOnce the Host mutes someone, that person will remain on mute until the Host unmutes that individual
ØIf there is background noise, ask the participants to mute themselves if they are not talking. Use the chat feature to communicate this if the feedback is substantial
ØIf a participant is muted by the Host and goes into a Breakout Room, that person will remain muted during the Breakout Session as they cannot unmute themselves
